national technical library - About project
The National Technical Library was finished and passed to the operator, the State Technical Library, in May 2009. The National Technical Library is designed as a square with rounded corners, and it symbolically resembles a technical workbook. From the shell and coating to the surfaces, finishes and mobiliary, everything is characterized by clean streamlined design and simple revealing shapes. Six aboveground floors offer public areas and office background facilities. The connecting element is a large atrium. There’s an entrance hallway on the ground floor, together with the cafeteria, city library, conference and exhibition hall, and other areas to let. The National Technical Library will offer uncompromised comfort to users as well as a broad range of services, such as up to 500,000 volumes in free selection, individual and team study rooms, over 1,300 study seats and almost 600 relaxing spots.
