Žižkov city - About project
The central idea of the project of complete revitalization of the freight railway station Praha – Žižkov is to build the timeless city center in the size approximately 331,000 m2. In the southern part of this area, on approximately 163,000 m2 which is developed by our company, a new modern multi-functional neighborhood will be built along the newly designed city boulevard, offering office, commercial and residential buildings surrounded by large park areas connected by the new pedestrian ways to the current large verdure areas and leisure time zones nearby. In the midterm horizon, the traffic infrastructure should be developed in the area, i.e. new underground and tram lines as well as individual traffic.
The basic town-planning structure of this project is design as a modern, contemporary, democratic city enabling flexible responses to people’s needs in the 21st century. As such, this neighborhood has the ambition to become the city center perceived not only locally but also in terms of the whole city, with distinct height characteristics of buildings in the central part of the project, enabling also new views to the city skyline.
